On April 19, 20, & 21 I’ll be in concert with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (www.dso.org). The Pops program is called “Red, Hot, & Blues”. I’ll be sharing the bill with trumpeter Byron Stripling, trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, and Hammond B3 master, Bobby Floyd. The four of us have performed this fun and unique Pops program with several orchestras over the past few years. In it we cover the blues from its beginning to the present, including one of my originals.
